There are times in our lives when we suffer. It might be a physical or emotional ailment. It might be the death of a loved one. It might be a difficult relationship. It might even be unemployment. Regardless of the cause, we all go through seasons where we suffer. People will tell you to “not lose hope” and “things will get better”. As Christians, how can we know that “things will get better”?
Well, In Revelation 21:3-4 John writes, “3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
We do have a hope and can be confident that things will get better because the Bible tells us that all of that pain and suffering we experience here on earth will “be no more, for the former things have passed away”. Remember that the next time you find yourself suffering. Jesus is our hope and because of Him, things will be better. God promised it and Jesus fulfilled it!
I pray blessings for you today on your Journey!
