Most people take pride in their houses — what they look, how clean they are, how big they are. Some may take more pride than others, but for the most part, we want people to like our homes, be comfortable in our homes and want to visit our homes. We will go to great lengths and pay many dollars to make this happen. That is great for our physical houses, but what about the house that the Lord has commanded you to build?
In Ezra 1:2 we read, “2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.”
Are you building a house that is pleasing to those around you, or are you building a house that is pleasing to the Lord? Does your house honor the Lord, does it serve the Lord, is it a house that is inviting to the Lord and does He want to reside there? Remember, this not only applies to the house you live in, but also the house that you build for the Lord inside of you. What does your house look like?
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
