I once heard Greg Laurie give a sermon about what would Jesus find in our house if He were to come and inspect our rooms, closets, dressers, computers, etc. It was a great reminder that we need to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord and not ourselves. If Jesus were to read your email, would He be pleased with what He sees? But, I think that there is another, more important, question that we need to ask — “Is Jesus in your house?”
In Luke 19:5-6 we read, “5 And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” 6 So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.”
I think before we worry about what will Jesus find in our houses, we need to first make sure we have invited Him inside of our house. Jesus told Zacchaeus that He would stay with him that day and Zacchaeus was joyful. Jesus has made the same request of each of us, but have you let Him in? As you begin each day, ask your self if Jesus is in your house.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
