We have all grown up with images of what satan looks like. For some, he has red horns, a pitchfork, a mustache and smiles. In movies, he is portrayed as an evil, mean monster that is scary to look at and even scarier to listen to. We assume that as long as we keep away from people that look like the above, we are OK. But, did you know that the Bible tells us that he looks nothing like that?
In 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 Paul writes, “14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” Paul warns us that the enemy will make himself appealing and attractive to us to lure us to him.
I would take it one step further. The enemy doesn’t just make himself look appealing, but he makes the things of this world appealing to us. He will stop at nothing to take us away from the Lord. There may be things in your life that you think are very good for you and your family. But, are they drawing you away from the Lord? If they are, realize that what looks to good to you now could be spiritually fatal to you in the end. Because of those things in your life, will Jesus say to you “I never knew you”?
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
