It has been said that the hardest part about dieting is not losing the weight, but keeping the weight off. I would have to agree. We work hard to lose weight and get to our goal, but once we do, the real battle begins. We begin to eat foods that we know are not on our diet. We stop exercising as much as we used to. Slowly, we begin to see the weight creep back on. Not only is this difficult for our diets, but it is also difficult for our walks.
In Jude 1:20-21 we read, “20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
As with anything in life, it is one thing to begin a walk with Jesus. It is an entirely different thing to maintain a walk with Jesus. Just like our diets, if we are not diligent, we stop attending church on a regular basis, we read our bibles less frequently, our time with the Lord becomes farther and farther apart. Remember, just like anything in life, when it comes to Jesus, we must “maintain, maintain, maintain!”
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
