If you really loved me, you would ………… How many times have we said that to others? Too often, we define love by what others do for us, what they give to us. Yes, one definition of love is what we receive from others, but do you know that they biblical definition of “love” is how we show it to others?
In 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 Paul writes, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;”
If we are to truly understand and receive love, we must first show it to others. Remember, before Jesus received love from those here on earth, He first came and showed it to us. As you look at your life and love, instead of defining how you receive love, first ask “do you show love”?
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
