There are many times in our lives when we have to deal with a certain emotion — fear. Because of physical danger, illness or uncertainty, we have all had to deal with fear. If you really think about it, what is fear? Well, I am sure that there are many definitions, but I have noticed that fear really deals with the “unknown”. Will I be safe? Will I be healed? Will everything turn out OK? We might not want to admit it, but we have all had to deal with it.
In Numbers 14:9 we read, “9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.” Israel feared entering into Canaan, because of the unknown.
As you look at your life and your specific situations, remember that we should not focus on the “unknown”, but we should focus on the “known”. We may not know everything, but we know the Lord and He “is with us”. Because we know the “known”, we do not need to fear the “unknown”.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
