I hate to admit this, but growing up, I took family for granted. They were always there and they would always be there. But as life changes through births and deaths, I find that family has become more and more important in my life. I want to be around family. I want to spend time with family. Unfortunately for many, family is not that easy. For whatever reason, there will never be the family relationships that are desired. But, did you know that family relationships are always available to you?
In Mark 3:33-35 Jesus says, “33 But He answered them, saying, “Who is My mother, or My brothers?” 34 And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.”
Jesus reminds us that when we are a child of God, we have family all around us in brothers and sisters that will love us, encourage us and support us. We might not have the same last name, but we have the same title; “child of God”. The next time you go to church, don’t forget to say “hello” to your family!
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
