We spend a lot of time trying to be “perfect”. Whether it be through exercise, studying, or self-help studies, we strive to be perfect in our eyes and in the eyes of those around us. Did you know that no matter how hard we try, we will never be “perfect” here on earth, but we are perfect in God’s eyes?
In Numbers 19:2 we read, “2 “This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying: ‘Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which a yoke has never come.” In the Old Testament, animals without blemish were used to atone for the sins of Israel. The “perfect” animal was the only way for the Lord to forgive Israel of their sins.
Fortunately for us, we do not have to present animals without blemish for sacrifice because God sent His son to be our perfect sacrifice. Because of Jesus and the blood He shed, we are all perfect in the Lord’s eyes. Regardless of how we see ourselves, or the world see us, in God’s eyes we are without blemish, perfect, worthy to be call His child.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
