Years ago, our family went on a vacation in Chicago. One of the highlights was to visit the Sears Tower and take a tour of the top (over 100 floors up). At one point, you can stand on a glass portion and look “down” all the way to the street. I was impressed that man can build towers so tall and so sturdy to support tons of weight, endure fierce storms and survive for decades. What is more impressive is that as strong and sturdy they may seem, they are nothing compared to the Lord.
In Mark 13:2 Mark writes, “2 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” While buildings may be “great”, our Lord is greater!
The next time you begin to doubt your faith and trust in the Lord, remember that the buildings we work in, the planes we fly in, the elevators we ride in are nothing compared to the power and authority that our Lord has. When all else has crumbled, He will still be standing!
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
