When I was in college, I joined a fraternity. Many people that join fraternities and sororities create lifelong friendships and their fraternity/sorority become an integral part of their remaining life. I must confess that I only joined a fraternity to put it on my resume. Because of that, I didn’t put much effort into become involved in the fraternity, I didn’t spend much time there, and I don’t have any lifelong friendships as a result of it. You see, I got out of it what I put into it. The same can be said for our relationship with Jesus.
In 2 Peter 1:4 we read, “4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
There are many blessings, promises and lifelong relationships with fellow believers that await those that commit their lives to the Lord. However, to receive all that the Lord wants to give you, you must be willing to invest your life into a meaningful relationship with Him. Remember, “you get out of it what you put into it”.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
