“Live for the moment” is a very popular saying in our culture today. Some use it as an encouragement to step out in faith and do something that they would otherwise be afraid to do. Others use it as an excuse to do something that they know is wrong. If we “live for the moment”, we don’t have to worry about guilt, shame or consequences. We are so focused on “living”, but did you know the Bible tells us to “stop living”?
In Galatians 2:20 we read, ” I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
If we truly want to “live”, we must first acknowledge that our lives died with Christ. We now live for Jesus and only Jesus. We must “stop living” and “start believing”!
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
