Give Me Your Heart

Everyday, I start my day by praying. As I am sure with all of you, there are many things that we all pray for. Our family, our faith, our health, our provisions, our protection…. I could probably go on for hours about the things that we can and should pray for. All of those are important, but I think there is something else that we need to pray for — our heart.

In 1 Kings 3:9 we read, “ Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” God had asked Solomon what he wanted and Solomon replied, “an understanding heart”.

It is important to include in our prayer life a request to be more like the Lord. We should want our eyes to see what He sees, our mouth to speak what He speaks, and our heart to discern how He discerns.  “Lord, may we all be more like you”.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
