If I were to take a guess, I would bet that most of us struggle with patience. Maybe it is patience with others. Maybe it is patience with ourselves. Maybe it is patience with the Lord. With the advent of technology, we want everything now and when we don’t get it, we assume it or we are a failure. But, do we work on our time or the Lord’s time?
In 1 Kings 7:1 we read, “7 But Solomon took thirteen years to build his own house; so he finished all his house.” How amazing! King Solomon with all of the resources, wealth and workers he could ever possibly need still took 13 years to build his own home.
The next time you struggle with patience, either with others, yourself or God, remember that sometimes things take time. Yes, that may also include answers to our prayers. The Lord works for our good everyday, but in His time not ours. As we wait for the Lord to move, give thanks to Him for what He has done and what He will do.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
