As I drive my son to school, I use GPS to find the “fastest” route to school. He goes to school a good distance from home and we have to drive in early morning rush hour traffic. For the most part, the GPS takes us a similar route everyday that gets to school in plenty of time. The routes make sense and they work for us. Today, however, was a different story. My trusty GPS took me a route that had me go a completely different and unusual route. I kept wondering if it was working correctly. On several occasions, I shut it off and turned it back on thinking it would “correct” itself and get us back onto our usual routes. It never changed, but we did get to school on time.
In Genesis 6:22 we have a description of Noah, “22 Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.” God told Noah to build an arc and he did, even though it probably sounded crazy to those around him.
As you hear the Lord’s calling, how faithful are you? Do you continue to listen to God’s “GPS” even though the route or distance doesn’t seem to make sense for where you think you are going? Do you build an arc when it seems unusual and maybe even a little crazy? As you hear the Lord’s calling, how faithful are you?
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
