Esther 6:12-14 – 12 Afterward Mordecai went back to the king’s gate. But Haman hurried to his house, mourning and with his head covered. 13 When Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him, his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him, “If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him but will surely fall before him.” 14 While they were still talking with him, the king’s eunuchs came, and hastened to bring Haman to the banquet which Esther had prepared.
Having just paraded Mordecai around the streets as a hero, Haman “hurried to his house, mourning and with his head covered.” You could say that reality had finally set in. Haman was getting his just rewards for his evil plan to kill Mordecai. Haman thought he would be hailed a hero, instead he was humiliated. In fact, Haman’s own wife said, “you will not prevail against him but will surely fall before him“.
As you endure the trials of someone around you, remember that reality will finally set in. Mordecai was protected by the Lord and so are you. Eventually, all will be held accountable for their actions and will have to answer for their choices. The next time your ‘Haman” confronts you, use that as an opportunity to tell them about Jesus, because eventually, their reality will set in.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
