I recently met the daughter of a friend of mine. Before I was even introduced to this precious, little girl, I knew who her father was. You see, she looked like her father. She acted like her father. Because I recognized that in her, I knew immediately who she belonged to. I was thinking of this as I was having a conversation this week with a few gentlemen about what Jesus really looks like. In America, we think Jesus is Caucasian with blue eyes. A few years ago, I was in Thailand on a mission trip. Guess what? In Thailand, Jesus looks Thai. In other parts of the world Jesus looks like the people that live in that region. Why would that be?
In Genesis 1:27 we read, “27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
We must remember that Jesus was not created in our image, but we are created in HIS image. It is our goal to look more like Him, instead of getting Him to look more like us.
Remember that as you go about your daily activities. As people meet you and see you, can they see your Father in you?
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
