We will all experience many different things in life, but there is only one thing that we will all experience — death. Death to both us and death to our loved ones around us. We have all experienced loved one that have battled injuries and diseases and felt like the disease had “won”. As I look at the death of my own parents back in 2012, I have never felt as though their diseases “won”. Cancer did not “win” over my mom. Pneumonia did not win over my dad. If neither of those diseases “won”, then who did? The answer is simple — Jesus.
In John 14:1-3 we read, “14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions;[a] if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
Ultimately, through all of our trials and losses we have triumph in Jesus. Our “loss” here results in Jesus’ victory for us in Heaven. Jesus will come again, one day, to “receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also“. And to receive this amazing victory, Jesus tells us, “14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
