A few weeks ago, I had a pretty “interesting” week. Wednesday, I had my car broken into and things stolen. Thursday, I found myself literally parked on the 210 Freeway for 45 minutes because of an accident that closed the entire freeway. As people were walking about on the freeway (one man was even walking his dog), I sat and complained to myself about the “inconvenience” it was causing me. That lasted for about 4 seconds when I believe the Lord asked me who was having a “worse” day — me, or the person that was having to be cut out of their car. As I began to put things in perspective, it became clear to me very quickly that I wasn’t being inconvenienced at all.
In Romans 8:18 Paul writes, “18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
If we keep things in a biblical perspective, we are reminded that while we may suffer here on earth, what we endure is nothing compared to the glory that awaits us in Heaven.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
