I have had my car broken into two times during my life. The first time, I had purposely installed a pull-out radio so that I could remove it each night to insure it would never be stolen. Unfortunately, I got lazy and found it was easier to just leave the radio in my car…. The second time, I became lazy and would leave my prescription sunglasses in my car…… Both times, because I was lazy, my radio and glasses were stolen. You see, I became lazy and let my guard down. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way, you “can’t get away with it all of the time”. The same can be said for the sin in our life.
Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:10, “10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad”
Yes, we may become lazy and let our guard down. Yes, we may allow sin into our lives that we know doesn’t belong there. Yes, we may think that nothing will ever happen. But remember, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ,“. Just as I learned with my radio and glasses, we may get away with things for a while, but remember, we “can’t get away with it all of the time”. Keep diligent. Keep focused.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
