I was recently talking to a friend of mine. They told me that they had been dealing with a lot of “stuff” lately. While their faith has remained strong and they continue to spend large amounts of time in prayer, they have found that they periodically break down and cry. They told me that they worry that their crying is a lack in faith in the Lord. Is crying really a lack of faith?
In Ecclesiastes 3:4 we read, “4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh, A time to mourn, And a time to dance;”
The Bible tells us that we will go through season of weeping. In fact, even “Jesus wept” in John 11:35. Crying is not a lack in faith, it is an emotion. From time to time, we will go through seasons of weeping. Sometimes because of struggles. Sometimes because of joy. When you feel the need to weep, weep. When you are finished, thank the Lord that He wipes all of our tears away.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
