In sports, we often hear of professional athletes that work hard and train year round because they are pursuing “the prize”. That prize is a championship. It is the ultimate reward and recognition for being the best in their profession. “The prize” drives everything they do, what they eat, how hard they train. All they want is “the prize”. As Christians, did you know that we too must strive for “the prize”?
Deuteronomy 11:8 tells us, “8 “Therefore you shall keep every commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land which you cross over to possess,”
The Bible tells us that if we are committed and focused on the Lord, He promises us that we will “go in and possess the land”. In other words, our love and obedience to the Lord will be rewarded in Heaven. No, we may not receive our blessings here on earth, but trust and have faith that all of our work and effort here on earth will result in the ultimate “prize” called Heaven.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
