Hold Fast to the Lord

Our youngest son recently took a trip with his school to Washington D.C. The “plan” was for them to take a direct flight from Los Angeles to DC. Unfortunately, the “plan” got changed. What should have taken about 5 hours ended up taking over 30 hours. What should have been a direct flight resulted in an overnight stay in San Francisco. Ultimately, they did get to D.C., but they didn’t get there as they had planned. His “adventure” reminded me a lot of our walk with Jesus.

Joshua 23:8 tells us, “But you are to hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have until now.”

I am sure that we all have a “plan” on how we are going to get to Heaven. Something direct, something quick…. Unfortunately, our “plan” doesn’t always work. That is why we are told “hold fast to the Lord your God”. It doesn’t matter how you get to your final destination (Heaven), what matters is that you get there.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
