There is an old saying that goes, “fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me”. I am sure we have all been fooled more than once by people in our lives. But, do we ever stop to consider that it is also satan that attempts to fool us?
Judges 16:20 reads, “20 And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him.”
Three times, Delilah had tried to get Samson’s secret of his strength from him so that the Philistines could attack and over take him. The first two times, Samson did not tell Delilah the truth and the Philistines were defeated. The third time, however, Samson was truthful, was weakened and defeated. Samson did not see the how he was being tricked by Delilah — sham on Samson. Remember that satan seeks to tempt, trick and weaken you each day. Remember that your strength comes from the Lord and only the Lord. When you see satan trying to trick you, flee and see protection from the Lord.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
