Have you ever noticed yourself getting upset at someone because they were “too happy”? Have you ever noticed that people get upset at you when you are “too happy”? It seems that, at times, people can become upset with others that appear to be “too happy”. Normally, it has nothing to do with the “happy” person, but has a lot to do with the person that is “unhappy”.
In 2 Samuel 6:16 we read, “16 Now as the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.”
David leaped and whirled because he had joy for the Lord in his heart. Michal despised him because she did not have that same joy. The next time you are accused of being “too happy”, remember to pray for that person that they too may have the joy of the Lord in their heart.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
