Too often, when we are corrected by others, we see it as a punishment. Yes, there are times when correction does come in the form of punishment, but have you ever stopped to consider that idea that blessing can also come for correction?
In 2 Samuel 24:15-16 we read, “15 So the Lord sent a plague upon Israel from the morning till the appointed time. From Dan to Beersheba seventy thousand men of the people died. 16 And when the angel stretched out His hand over Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented from the destruction, and said to the angel who was destroying the people, “It is enough; now restrain your hand.” And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
As long as we are here on earth, we must remember that God’s judgement is not to condemn us, but to correct us. The Lord brought a 3 day plague on David and Israel because of sin. But, God restrained His judgement because He said, “It is enough”. Correction will come as a result of our actions. The challenge for us is to see the blessing in that correction. Mainly, the fact that the Lord loves you enough to seek change in you.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
