We recently sent our oldest son on a trip for a summer program on the East Coast. As you can imagine, there were many details to finalize and items to get ready for his trip. From clothing to accommodations and reservations, we wanted to make sure that he was prepared and equipped for what awaited him. In other words, we wanted to make sure our planning and attention to details would be a blessing to him on his trip.
Isn’t that what we all want for our children — to be a blessing? Today’s passage reminds us that that same attention to detail we gave to our son’s trip is the same detail that we must give to our children’s journey each day. If we pay attention to the details in our own life and “walk in integrity”, then the Bible promises us that our “children are blessed after him”. If you truly want to prepare your children for what lays ahead of them, make sure that you have walked in integrity, paid attention to the details and given them an example by the way you love your life that will prepare them and equip them for the future.
What will you leave your children?
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
