Proverbs 21:20 – 20 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts.
I recently read an article that talked about the negative ramifications of all of the social media available to our children. This new generation is being called “Generation Snowflake”. No, I am not making that up. It seems because of how we can delete, block and ignore any form of criticism, our children are growing up not knowing how to handle conflict or negative comments. Thus, “generation snowflake”.
The author wrote that we are raising our children in such a way that is allowing them to live “however they want” without the ramifications or consequences of their actions. Our scripture today reminds us that we are not to live to please ourselves, but we are to live to please the Lord. We are not to do right in our “own eyes”, but we are called to do right in the Lord’s eyes. As we live to please the Lord, there may be some correction and consequences, but more importantly there will be Heaven.
Remember, don’t live to please yourself, live to please the Lord.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
