Isaiah 41:20 – 20 That they may see and know, And consider and understand together, That the hand of the Lord has done this, And the Holy One of Israel has created it.
How many times have you looked at a situation and asked “why”? Why did it happen? Why haven’t things gotten better? Why didn’t God answer my prayers? We seem to always think that if things haven’t gotten better, then God has not answered our prayers. At least not the way we wanted Him to answer.
As I was reading today, I was reminded that God does not act for our benefit, but He acts for Him to be exalted and glorified. Whatever trial, issue or problem we are facing, our prayer should not be for things to get better (although we all want that), but our prayer should be for God to be glorified. As it says in today’s passage, “That they may see and know, And consider and understand together, That the hand of the Lord has done this, And the Holy One of Israel has created it.” If God chooses to work through our struggles so that He may be glorified then we should give thanks that He trusted us enough to be a part of His plan. May all we do, say and think — glory to the Lord in good times and bad.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
