Jeremiah 9:7 – 7 Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: “Behold, I will refine them and try them; For how shall I deal with the daughter of My people?
I was listening on the radio yesterday about a woman that was dealing with multiple trials at the same time. Her mother suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. It just happened to be the same hospital that this woman’s husband was in recovering from a plane crash (yes, a plane crash). She described one night in particular where she went between the two floors spending time with her mother and husband. At one point, she cried out to God and asked, “really?”.
Later that night, as she sat next to her husband holding his hand, she said she felt like the Lord told her, “if you can get through tonight, you can get through anything”. Do we look at our trials this way? Rather than look at them as “punishment”, do we look at them as the Lord’s way of refining us? We all do and will face trials, but, what are we going to learn from them? How is the Lord using your circumstances to refine you more into His image? Relish the refinement because the Lord sees something in you that you might not see in yourself.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
