Then I Washed You In Water

Ezekiel 16:9-12 – “Then I washed you in water; yes, I thoroughly washed off your blood, and I anointed you with oil. 10 I clothed you in embroidered cloth and gave you sandals of badger skin; I clothed you with fine linen and covered you with silk. 11 I adorned you with ornaments, put bracelets on your wrists, and a chain on your neck. 12 And I put a jewel in your nose, earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.
Most of the time, we are discouraged and ashamed of our sins. Not only do we make ourselves feel bad, but satan does a good job of making us feel bad also. As we get stuck in our sin and shame, we begin to think that we will never be worthy of God’s grace or salvation.  Thankfully, that is where we are wrong.
In today’s passage, we read of what God’s grace does for us. “Then I washed you in water; yes, I thoroughly washed off your blood, and I anointed you with oil. God’s grace, through the blood of Jesus Christ, makes us not only worthy, but beautiful. We will never be worthy on our own, but God’s grace washed us in water so that we would be worthy and beautiful in His eyes.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
