Ezekiel 33:0 – 9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
One summer, my family and I were on vacation in Chicago. While swimming at the hotel pool, my wife noticed a little child drowning. What was surprising was that there were about 50 people at the pool that never noticed the child. Quickly, my wife told one of our sons to swim to the child and bring them to the edge of the pool. Needless to say, the mom was very thankful and grateful. With so many people around, nobody noticed that there was someone in trouble.
I was thinking of this event as I read this passage today. So often, we either are afraid to “warn the wicked to turn from his way” or we do not even notice that they are in trouble at all. The Bible is very clear that it is our responsibility as Christians to warn them so that our souls may be delivered. If none of you would sit idle and watch someone drown in a pool, why would you allow someone’s wickedness to determine their destiny without warning them?
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
