Ezekiel 38:10 – 10 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan:
There is a well known saying, “mind over matter” that people say at times when things are difficult and they are struggling to continue on. It may be a hard workout, a long run or a trial that they have been facing for quite a long time. “Mind over matter” means that during these situations, we must “will” ourselves to continue on, continue to fight, continue to persevere. We might not think we can, but studies have shown that our mind determines what our body does. If our mind says we can continue on, we can. If our mind says we must stop, our body stops.
As I was reading today’s verses, I was reminded of how powerful our mind is when it comes to our walk with Jesus. “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan”. When it comes to sin, it all begins with our mind. It is out of our mind that comes our actions. If we think of a sin long enough, our mind will convince our body that it is OK. If we are to gain victory over sin in our lives, we must begin with our mind. My prayer for each of us today is that we will make conscious decisions each day to control our thoughts so that we can keep control over our words and actions. In other words, when it comes to our relationship with Jesus, may we all become control freaks.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
