Ezekiel 37:24 – 24 “David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them.
As I look at our society, in many ways, I see a society of “excess”. People are drawn to bigger, better, more. I recently read that a well known professional athlete stated that he owns over 800 pairs of shoes! Think about that, if he were to wear a different pair of shoes, every day, it would take him over 2 years to wear each pair! We do that with material things, but we also do it with God.
Today’s verse reminds us that when it comes to God, we “shall all have one shepherd“. Too often, we allow other things to become our god. In fact, sometimes, we allow other deities to become our god. We believe in Jesus, but there are others aspects of other religions that make sense to us. God is our Father, but what is the harm of having a statue of another religions god in our house? Unfortunately, there is a lot wrong with that and it can lead to great harm. We can only have one God. Who is your god?
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
