I Got Your Back

Nehemiah 8:1 – Now all the people gathered together as one man in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded Israel.
“I got your back” is a very popular saying nowadays. It means that someone who is normally very close to you will be there to support you, defend you, encourage you regardless of what you are experiencing. If you are going through trials, “I got your back” can be very comforting words. We may say it to family and friends, but do we say it to our church family?
In Nehemiah 8:1 we read, “Now all the people gathered together as one man“. As I read this, I was reminded that when we gather at our churches for our services and events, we do so “as one man”. In other words, we are united as one church, one family, one body. And, when we are one, we must always make sure that we have each others back.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
