Nehemiah 6:9 – 9 For they all were trying to make us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.”
Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.
How many times have you been prevented from doing something because of fear? Whether it be a new job, singing in public or telling someone about Jesus? Often times, we start out with good intentions and ambition. Unfortunately, fear convinces us that it would be best to not try at all.
Satan also uses fear to weaken our walk with Jesus. In Nehemiah we read, Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.” He attacks us with fear to weaken our hands. There are many ways he works to weaken us, but the most effective way is in weakening our trust in the Lord. As you encounter your daily battles, struggles and trials, do not allow fear to weaken your hands, but cry out “O God, strengthen my hands.” If we ask, the Lord will provide.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
