Matthew 4:18-20 – 18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
When you attend your local church on Sundays there is a reason why you are there. More specifically, for most of us, there is a person that got you there. Whether it be a family member or friend, chances are someone was responsible for telling you about Jesus and inviting you to church. I am also sure that you are very grateful for that person doing that for you.
Today’s scripture tells us that when Jesus met Simon (Peter) and Andrew, He told them, “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” As Christians, there is an expectation that we will “fish for people“. How often do you cast your net and tell people about Jesus? If you can’t remember when, then maybe today is a good day to start again.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
