Luke 12:2-3 –2 But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. 3 Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops.
“What they don’t know, won’t hurt them.” How many times have we heard this phrase? How many times have we said this phrase? This phrase can refer to those things that we are doing that is wrong, but as long as they are not discovered, nobody gets hurt. We have this false assurance that if we sin and nobody sees or discovers it, everything is fine.
In today’s passage, Luke reminds us that “2 But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. ” The sin we do in secret is still revealed in Heaven. No, those around us might not be aware, but the Lord sheds a tear for each sin that we do not seek repentance and forgiveness for. God knows. God sees. Most importantly, God forgives. Take time today to seek forgiveness from the Lord for the sins you commit both in public and in private. And, let today be a day of a contrite heart and let’s start changing the sinful behavior.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
