Luke 12:25 – 25 And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span?
I have often thought about “what is worrying?” In my opinion, worrying is something we do during trials because we feel that we must do something. We are taught that we cannot sit idle, we must do something (“don’t just sit there, do something!”). One of the ways we do “something” is to worry.
Today, Luke tells us, “25 And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span?” Worrying does not help, in fact, it hurts. It hurts us physically, emotionally and spiritually. The Bible teaches us that we should not worry, but worship. We should not worry, but pray. We should not worry, but trust. The next time you feel compelled to worry, spend that time worshiping the Lord, praying to the Lord, trusting in the Lord.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
