Matthew 15:8-9 – 8 ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me. 9 ‘But in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’”
There are people today that call themselves “Christian” by name, but not by action. They may say all of the right things when people are around, but when nobody is looking, they are a completely different person. It is very easy to “act” like the person they want others to think you are, but in reality, the “real” person will always come out.
In today’s passage, we are reminded that while we may be able to fool some of the people some of the time, we will never be able to fool the Lord. “8 ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me.” If your desire is to truly serve and honor the Lord, it must be about more than just your words, it must be about your heart. The Lord will always know your heart and the Lord will always judge your heart. My prayer for you today is that you will earnestly desire for a real and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
