Matthew 22:4 – 4 Again he sent out other slaves saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened livestock are all butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.”’
I recently performed a wedding ceremony for very close friends (more like family). I am always honored that a couple would ask me to be a part of one of the most important days of their lives. Because of the importance of the occasion, I spend great time preparing what I will say and how I will conduct the ceremony. I also spend weeks with the couple preparing them for the Journey they will soon begin. I take weddings very seriously and put much thought and care in to my planning.
I was thinking of this today as I was reading in Matthew. Matthew tells us, “come to the wedding feast”. My prayer for each of you, regardless of where you are on your Journey, is that you will consider your marriage (or future marriage) as something that is very special, unique and important. May you, each day, take great care in nurturing, protecting and growing the relationship with your spouse. May you take time to recognize the importance of that day and what it means to the rest of your life. I am blessed and honored to call Geanene my wife and I am thankful for her love for me.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
