Mighty in the Scriptures

Acts 18:21 – 24 Now a Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures.
As I continue to grow in my faith and meet Christians I am always inspired by those who are well grounded and versed in God’s Word. No, they might not be able to quote the entire Bible from memory, but they certainly know where in scripture to look for a word of encouragement, hope, direction or guidance. It is my goal as a Christian to know God’s Word more each day so that the Bible will become a mightier weapon to me.
In today’s passage, we read of a man, Apollos, who “was mighty in the Scriptures.” My prayer for each of you is that with each passing day and with each moment you spend in God’s Word, you too will be know as someone who is “mighty in the Scriptures.”

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
