No Sacrifice

Matthew 19:28-30 – 28 And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name’s sake, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last; and the last, first.
We may often hear stories of people that have made great sacrifices in life for a purpose or cause. You may marvel at those individuals and wish you could do the same. Many people believe that we as Christians must make “great sacrifices”, but I do not see a Christian life as a sacrifice at all.
In today’s verses, Jesus tells us that “29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name’s sake, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.” If you are living a life today that you see as a “sacrifice”, I encourage you to change your point of view. A Christian life is not a sacrifice, but rather an investment in your future. What you are willing to give up on earth in the name of Jesus will be returned “many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.” Remember, the payout you will receive is determined by the investment you are willing to make.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
