James 1:2-5 – 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Recently, Southern California has been getting a lot of much needed rain. So much, in fact, that I have noticed a significant number of potholes in the road. Because of all of the rain, the weaknesses in the roads were exposed and potholes appeared. As fast as they have appeared, workers have been filling them with new asphalt to make them stronger.
We too experience storms in our lives. Some small, some large enough to create “potholes” in our own walks. It is through these storms that the Lord will expose the weaknesses in our faith in order to repair and strengthen them. I pray that as you encounter your storms and potholes, you will “count it all joy when you fall into various trials”. Give thanks to the Lord for giving you the opportunity to take what was once a weakness in your walk and making it a strength so that you “may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing”.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
