James 1:8 – 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
Many people live with one foot in the world and one foot in for Christ. They tend to pick and choose parts of the Bible that support “their lifestyle”, never fully surrendering to Christ. The reality is that living like this means that the person is knowingly living with one foot in sin and one foot in Christ. Our scripture today tells us that the life of such a person will ultimately be unstable. Sin ultimately causes us internally and externally to be weak and damaged in many areas of our lives.
God wants your full heart and mind. He does not want a portion of who you are. He wants you all in! Both feet, all in! That is called a single-minded person; where your eyes, your heart and your mind are always in focus on the one thing that really matters — Christ. With single-mindedness for Christ we receive stability in life where there is peace, joy, and happiness no matter what comes our way.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
