Proverbs 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But a wise man is he who listens to counsel.
I reflect upon the times when the biggest decisions in my life we made. I would always pray on my own, but I would thereafter always call my mom who I knew was a woman rooted in God’s Word. I knew she would correct me in love if I was wrong or she would confirm my decisions as being in line with what the Lord would want for my life. When she passed away, I felt I lost that wise counselor. But, our good Lord surrounded me with new wise and firmly rooted friends in Christ who I turn turn even today for counsel with big decisions.
Never be too proud to seek advice from others who you trust and who you know are God fearing people. Scripture tells us that a fool is right in his own eyes. But, wise people will seek to listen to wise counsel. Get the wise advice the Lord has told you to get and then weigh what you have learned and pray on it. That is a recipe ultimately for a good and mature decision.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
