Worthy of Double Honor

1 Timothy 5:17 says that those who preach or teach are worthy of double honor.  I understand that to mean that their is double or greater responsibility.

A Bible teacher is part of the pastor’s ministry team.  The pastor is responsible for everything and everyone who teaches to his congregation.
We teach more by who we are, what we do, and how we do things, than by the words we say.  Once we start teaching everything we do takes on more scrutiny.  We teach discipline, faithfulness, and spirituality by how we do things.  Acts 13:7 “ Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith”
People take us more seriously, ask us questions about different things, and for prayer because we are in leadership.  Acts 13:7 “ Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith” Acts 13:7 says “17 Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account”
