Exodus 10:3 – 3 Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, “Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.
Many places in the Bible speak of pride. In fact, in Proverbs 16 we are warned that “Pride goes before destruction”. Pride gets us into trouble because we begin to think to much of ourselves and too little of God. It is that thinking that leads us away from God and ultimately leads us to destruction.
In today’s scripture, God reminds us that it is pride that will block us from seeing God. If we truly want to see and receive God into our lives, we must “humble yourself before Me”. In other words, make sure that we think more of God than ourselves. Remember, all “success” you will achieve and receive in this world is at the leading and guiding of God. If we can keep the right perspective on God and ourselves, we can honor God with all success He will bless us with in this lifetime.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
