Use Your Power

Judges 14:14-15 – 14 When he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting against him. Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him; and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands. 15 He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it.

There are times in life when people feel helpless and powerless. It appears that their problems and trials are so big that they can do nothing to change it. Over time, this feeling of helplessness becomes so strong that their problems and trials rule their lives. The sad reality is that we are never powerless or helpless, we just sometimes forget to use the power we have been given.

In today’s verses, we read, “Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him; and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands. 15 He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it.” It was the Lord that gave Samson his power to overtake his captors and it is the Lord that will give you the power you need when you feel powerless. Rather than cry out in despair, remember to cry out to the Lord so that He may come mighty upon you.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
