John 6:32-35 – 32 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” 34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” 35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
Today begins a week like no other in Jesus’ life here on earth. After 33 years, it was time for Him to do what He had been sent to do — conquer death. With each day, God orchestrated what needed to happen, what needed to be done. All this led up to Resurrection Sunday when Jesus rose from the grave and let all see who He really was — the Risen Messiah.
It came as a surprise to many, but Jesus had prepared them. In today’s passage, He said, “33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” At Easter, we don’t celebrate events, but a person. More specifically, we celebrate who Jesus really is “the bread of God…who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world”. Jesus came to give you life as only He could do. My prayer this Easter is that you will recognize and celebrate the life that has been given to you by Jesus. All He asks is that you give your life to Him.
I pray for blessings for you today on your Journey!
